About Me
Hi, I’m Camilla Wright. I’m a coach, a leader, an educator and, above all, someone who is genuinely fascinated by people.
I’ve spent almost 20 years working in education, alongside children, parents, teachers and leaders. Over that time, I’ve discovered that one of the things I love most is helping people develop — not by telling them who they should become, but by helping them work out who they want to be.
I am mother to a sassy, inquisitive, joyful little human who inspires me every day with her ability to notice the teeny details that make life beautiful: The smoothness of a tiny stone, an impressively fluffy dandelion, the shimmer on a pearlescent bead, the dew on a spider’s web on the hedge.
I try to apply this same wonder in coaching. I’m naturally observant and curious about what people care about. I notice changes in people’s voices, energy and body language and I notice when something seems to shift. I might say, “I noticed something there. Tell me about it.”
I don’t decide what that something means – that’s yours to explore. You are the expert on you.
I want my coaching sessions to feel human, which means there can be serious conversations, uncomfortable moments and difficult questions – that’s often where the work really happens. But I am also a naturally playful and often ridiculous person, and I will invite you to be the same!
My philosophy of coaching centres around giving you space, but not allowing you to hide in it. I will ask bold questions and offer what I notice, but it will be up to you whether to take that offer and dig into it. I will challenge you to think but I will not impose upon your personal stuff.
My goal is to give you your voice, your space and time, and to walk beside you as you figure it out, unravelling the really important question of what it means to be you.
